FITGMR is a comprehensive performance and player development company born out of the work we have done with Cloud9 for over four years, a premier esports organization. We are a team of gamers, professors, Ph.D.’s,, psychologists, esports athletes, coaches, and industry professionals with decades of experience. Through the FITGMR app we offer a holistic approach to health for esports athletes and gamers that addresses the mental and physical demands of competitive gaming so they can perform better in their specific game. FITGMR’s Training Grounds is a best-in-class esports training experience. Certified coaches train and mentor in game-specific strategies and tactics, communication and team building. Training Ground Leagues, Bootcamps, and Discord encourage inclusivity and community.

Kristin Anderson CEO FITGMR
  • Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer

    Kristin is an experienced financial professional with an investment banking and financial consulting background. She spent over a decade at JPMorgan and then joined Evercore Partners specializing in distressed M&A. She has over 700 hours of training in various forms of yoga and yogic philosophy, is a CrossFit Level 1 Certified trainer and has run 8 marathons on 3 continents. She is passionate about health and wellness, and joined her first start-up team in 2000 and has worked as a Director for a habit forming app.

  • Dr. Brett Shelton has been a pioneer in the esports collegiate space for years through his work at Boise State University. He has joined the FITGMR team bringing his expertise in curriculum development, knowledge of the esports collegiate landscape and tremendous passion for improving not only the individual esports athlete but the esports ecosystem as a whole.

Holden Macrae
  • Co-Founder

    Holden is a Professor Emeritus of Sports Medicine at Pepperdine University. He has a B.A. in Physical Education and English, M.Ed. in Kinesiology, and Ph.D. in Physiology. He has published articles and received grant funding from government and industry for research on human health and performance. His prior work includes research on elite athlete and military performance, and he is currently implementing high performance support for esports athletes. He has designed and conducted clinical trials focusing on technology and nutritional interventions to optimize performance.

  • Patrick Barthe is the Director of Esports Partnerships at Atomic Infotech. Atomic is a global events agency focused on creative technical solutions for esports and live video production for some of the biggest publishers on the planet. Patrick also consults for a number of esports initiatives including HighSchool.GG, Military Esports with Joint Base Lewis McCord, and the PNW Esports Council. Patrick previously held positions at Microsoft and created the ratings and rankings system for collegiate tennis in the early 2000’s.

Mike Anderson
  • Co-Founder, President, Physical Maintenance

    Mike has Master’s Degrees in Public Health & Experiential Education and a B.S. in Sports Medicine. Mike is a professor at Pepperdine University and owner of a gym in Malibu, California. He has taught students in inner city classrooms, esports teams in his gym, and locals in communities in Southeast Asia.

  • Senior Product Manager

    James is an accomplished competitive gamer who previously played for UCI Esports during his undergrad years at UC Irvine — holding over a dozen LAN titles in CS:GO, VAL, and SC2. Being an early pioneer of the collegiate space, James has worked with notable esports companies, such as ESL, FACEIT, Zowie/BenQ, & Esports Stadium Arlington, to push collegiate esports to the next level. Formerly a Product Manager for Cloud9 Esports, James looks to develop products that induce a professional training environment for all players to develop, rank up, and succeed in achieving their gaming goals. James holds a B.A. in Law and Society from UC Irvine and is currently finishing up his MBA with a specialization in Technology Management from UCLA Anderson.

  • Operations & Coaching Manager

    Sam (boc) is a high-rated FPS player turned LoL coach who loves balancing his love of gaming with his passion for fitness. Playing baseball and soccer growing up gave him a perspective on teamwork and cooperation that influences his coaching style to this day. Boc's #1 goal is to make esports more acceptable in mainstream discourse by spreading awareness and elevating voices in the space.

Leslie Fitzsimmons
  • Chief Strategy Officer

    Leslie brings 30 years of media experience in sales, revenue management, marketing, and executive leadership to her role as head of marketing at FitGMR. Leslie started her career in esports while teaching integrated marketing and communications at the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2018. After leaving UNLV, she oversaw a multi-media content platform that served as a bridge between mainstream audiences and hardcore esports fans and gamers. Leslie has a passion for startups that are not only disruptors but that want to make a positive impact on their industry’s ecosystem. “FitGMR is a perfect fit.”

  • Head of Content

    Nikki specializes in all things content and has a passion for storytelling. From pre-production to post, she enjoys taking a project from conceptualization to picture lock. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in VFX and has almost 10 years of experience in the industry. In her free time you can find her playing League of Legends dominating the bot lane.

Peter Ferko
  • Head of Yoga and Meditation

    Peter is FITGMR’s director of Yoga and Meditation and a trainer. Peter is an initiated Yogiraj, or master, who has been teaching yoga and meditation for 20 years and studying for 35. He is the author of two books on yoga and meditation and the host of a podcast about getting the most from life. Peter’s varied life pursuits make him a skilled advocate for FITGMR’s lifestyle pillar, which encourages development of the whole person.
