Overwatch 2 is a first-person shooter game developed by Blizzard Entertainment and released in 2022. A sequel to 2016’s global hit Overwatch, Overwatch 2 features updated player-versus-player (PvP) modes and introduces brand new cooperative modes. Two teams each consisting of 5 players fight for the win!
OBJECTIVe
Two teams must play strategically around an objective in one of Overwatch 2’s five main game modes to claim victory. Characters are separated into 3 classes: Tanks, Damage, and Support. Don’t be afraid to switch characters mid-match! Focusing on strategy and playing to your character’s strengths, or avoiding their weaknesses and bad matchups, is the key to success.
COMPETITIVE FORMATS
Overwatch 2 features a 5v5 ranked Competitive Mode with different rules than unranked modes. Escort and Hybrid matches are twice as long as their unranked counterparts, while Control maps are best-of-3 and Push maps are unable to result in a draw. FITGMR typically trains how to become a better OW2 player and focuses on teaching players how to outsmart their opponents.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Overwatch 2 requires many important skills like critical-thinking, reaction time, problem-solving, teamwork, coordination, communications, and leadership. Working together as a team is one of the most important things in Overwatch. The best players are able to perform well in their individual play and also are the best teammates possible.
